There is no cheating in art, only getting your point across. If you’ve ever since David Lynch’s Mullholand Drive, you might understand when I say that I draw my inspiration from the old couple. Art, in most forms, is handed to us. We can form opinions, likes and dislikes, even make assumptions about the concepts behind it. When you see my work I don’t want to you be angry towards the injustice in the world. I want to you feel angry because there is injustice in your world. I want to you to feel hate towards those who’ve wronged you and shame for wronging others. I want you to see the hope in your life and the loss and the sorrow and the fear. My forms are blank. They are ghosts and dreams and long forgotten memories. They are for you to see. Put your own faces on the vacant figures. Let your mind create the art. After all, what could be scarier than our own imaginations?
